James Avery has died at 68 years.
Michael Schumacher turns 45-year-old. The F1 legend suffered his devastating ski accident while helping a pal’s daughter last Sunday. Germany’s Bild Newspaper said: “The daughter of a friend suddenly crashed. Schumacher helo the girl, leaving the groomed area and moves about 20 metres in the deep snow between the slopes Biche and Mauduit.” ”Both sides of the groomed slopes are said to be marked with flags.”
According to his manager Sabina Kehm, Shumacher’s condition remains stable but critical in the hospital in Grenoble, where he is in an induced coma battling brain injuries.
His Family has described the former multiple-Formula One Champion as a „fighter“ in a message thanking fans for their support following his skiing accident.
In a message posted on Shumi’s website, his family wrote: „Following Michael’s skiing accident, we would like to thank the people from all round the world who have expressed their sympathy and sent their best wishes for his recovery. They are giving us great support. „We all know he is a fighter and will not give up. Thanks“

Nollywood director, Jeff Ogboso was honoured on the 30th of December with a Role Model Award, at his home town Ohafia!

It’s like light is shinning on the side of Nigeria’s model/Author Eeefy Ify Ike. The New Year 2014 seems to be starting up well for her.
The beautiful actress recently went online with her collection of rocking new jewelry. Just this week she received the 2013 NTA Diasporan Award.
Eeefy will be on the Italian TV, RAI International for an interview on her inspirational book entitled, “Peering through the Depths of Life”. The book will equally be translated into the Italian language.
Here are excerpts of Diamond Celebrities’ interview with Eeefy:
DC: congratulations Eeefy. Please tell us, how do you feel about the NTA Diasporan award?
Eeefy: I give glory to God. I’m only a willing vessel. He is using me to do the work I do here in Nigeria. I’m glad NTA honoured me! It is a motivation to do even more. Appreciation encourages more goodness.
DC: What are your aspirations for the future?
Eeefy: I’ll continue to work on my exciting projects! My youth organization is seeking sponsorships now for our national programme. So, I look forward to a fulfilling 2014.
DC: Your book to be translated into the Italian language is a great achievement – how’s that for you?
Eeefy: I am elated because I love Italy, Italians and their style. Some of my friends and adopted family in Beverly Hills California are Italians. They are so warm and eager to look after me and so it is absolutely exciting for me to have the opportunity to share my writings with Italians.
DC: Do you have any intention of translating it in other languages apart from Italian?
Eeefy: Yes. I would have my books translated into Spanish, French and Chinese languages in the future.
DC: What’s your advice for the youth this year?
Eeefy: I’ll advise the youths to spend more solo time for reflection, tap into their creative skills and develop them to a point where they can be lucrative. Do not be deterred by the dementia of people, their unrealistic expectations of you and their eagerness to cut you down. You have to fulfill your purpose to give meaning to your existence
Remember!!! Mistakes, failures, disappointments and rejections are all components of growth and do not make you less of a person. Failure does not necessarily mean failing but wallowing in failure. It’s not how hard you fall but how well you rise – when you do that defines your strength. So get up, dust off the shirt and keep on! Many great men failed countless times before they achieved greatness. The failure helped build their character. Do not be afraid! Take responsibility for your life and future! May God grant you grace, in Jesus name! Amen…I love you! Meow.

The bombing of the court where Justice Charles N. Wali usually holds court, reportedly occurred on Monday morning a few hours before a politically charged suit against Hon Evans Bipi, a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly and leader of a group of 6 lawmakers, who has been unlawfully parading himself as the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Justice Wali had about a month ago ordered Bipi to stop parading himself as Speaker of the House as the tussle over control of the state government between loyalists of the Presidency and the Rivers Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, lingers with an end in sight. No casualties have been reported over the bombing as at the time of filing this report.
Tunde Olawuwo, an Area pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, and a senior manager at Red Star Express, a courier company, has been murdered.
His killers were not just content taking his life, they disembowelled him and placed his intestines on his chest, sources said.
Sources said Olawuwo was killed at about 4 a.m on Sunday at his residence in Magboro area of Ogun State, western Nigeria. The deceased, in his early 50s, was the Chief internal Auditor at Red Star Express PLC and an area pastor in Mount Zion Parish, Agiliti, Mile 12. The parish is under Lagos Region 2, Province 13, Gbagada.
Sources said the killers arrived the pastor’s house at about 2am but could not gain entrance into the house until 4am.
They broke in through the window and began shooting into the ceiling where the pastor was said to have hidden.
The deceased was said to have fallen from the ceiling and was shot several times by the killers. Sources said pleas by his wife were ignored as the killers cut him open and brought out his intestines and placed them on his chest.

Packets of cocaine turned up in banana crates in 7(seven) Aldi stores in Germany.
Berlin police was said to have stumbled across a drug smuggling ring by accident on Monday, 6th January, when Aldi employees reported finding 140 Kilos of cocaine hidden in banana crates in stores across the city worth €6 million.
According to police spokesman, it was the second biggest cocaine find in Berlin over the last 35 years.
Workers at an Aldi store in Reinickendorf made the first discovery at 8am when they found packets of the drug hidden among a banana delivery.
More cocaine parcels were then discovered across by Aldi workers in Köpenick, Rahnsdorf, Wilmersdorf and in Velten in Brandenburg.
The bananas were traced to a container which had arrived from Colombia with around 1,150 crates of bananas by police and customs, BZ Newspaper reported.
The discount supermarket has been cooperative, police said in a statement.
