According to news making around Nigeria, Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike has allegedly been thrown out of the property he uses for his school, in Magodo GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, over his inability to pay an accrued three years rent of N8.5 million. The apartment, a twin duplex located at 1, Raji Oladimeji Street, Magodo GRA, was until his ejection, used by Emeka to run his business. After reading the story, we contacted Emeka and spoke with his manager… This is what his manager Mr. Great Imo told Diamond Celebrities:

Manager: “Why make a private, personal business attain a National Crisis status? Is someone being mischievous here? Intelligent readers, read in-between the lines. Emeka Ike is doing very great, the students relocated to the new site; the case is in court waiting determination. It is his money and investment and it is not a national crisis. Maybe, people who think he has a larger than life image are trying to use it to make a point and he wants to handle it as legal as possible.”

He noted that there can be challenges in business but reiterated that Emeka is still in possession of the school. He added that only two entities can close down a school, either the government or the owner of the school but none of that has happened yet. Nobody can shut down the school and the case is in court. It should not be seen as a national crisis. Emeka has his business in Abuja and he’s doing very well and right now he doesn’t need distraction”.

A student in his school, Ebuka, won the MTN schools in mainland academy competitions amongst other great schools there”. Now he is in the East Legon University Ghana,…All the students are in different Universities now… the WAEC result of the school was not induced but earned as students already made their GCE result a year earlier ( SS2) b4 SS3. This is not news to the ill-intentioned blogger…who rather prefer to expose their hate for a man who never cared to recognise their blogs; who is trying to dent an investor’s investment?

When we final get through to Emeka, he said: “Except for my huge national status, all I read are fictions of some mischief makers’ imagination. Gbami leti kin di olowo (slap me and I’ll get rich), meaning “while they trying to bring me down for no reason, St. Nicholas College is blazing and rising in style. We have more investments put into it because my wife and I believe in children – the future of tomorrow. Until the court defines it, I’m still in possession.”
