The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has debunked the rumours about cancellation of 2014 Batch ‘C’ Orientation Course.
In a press statement signed by its Director, Press and Public Relations, Mrs. Abosede Aderibigbe, the management called on all prospective corps members, parents, guardians and the public to disregard the rumour, insisting that no such decision had been taken by the NYSC.
The statement added that all the scheduled orientation courses remained as planned, stressing that any necessary changes would be communicated to all stakeholders through the appropriate channels.
“Prospective corps members and other stakeholders are advised to always seek confirmation of information relating to the scheme’s policy matters at the NYSC Directorate Headquarters and state secretariats nationwide,” it said.
The release said the 2014 Annual Management Conference of the National Youth Service Corps would be held in Calabar, Cross River State.
It further stated that the conference, which is expected to be declared open by Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State serves as a platform for deliberation on general policy matters in the scheme.
