Sunny Neji Holds Show in Home State – J Martins, Ice Prince, I Go Dye, I Go Save, Gandoki Storm Calabar

This year’s Democracy Day celebration held a different charm for Cross River as Nigeria’s A-list highlife music crooner, Sunny Neji took his home state by the storm with a back to back comedy and music entertainment show.

The event, which was tagged ‘Laugh and Quench held at the Cultural Center, Calabar bringing together top comic and music divers to scintillate audiences from all walks of life with exceptional performances.

Among the top comic artistes who made spotlight at the show include I Go Dye, I Go Save; and Gandoki; while the popular musicians who headlined stunning performances include J. Martins, Ice Prince and Sunny Neji, himself.

Speaking during the event, the CEO of Impakt Records Production, Sunny Neji, the organizer of the event said the event which is expected to hold yearly in the state is aimed at complementing entertainment events in the state.

According to Sunny Neji, who is also Cross River tourism ambassador “the state government has positioned Cross River as the preferred tourist destination, I’m creating something else for them to add in the entertainment calendar, so people keep coming to the state from January to December , not just during Christmas alone.”

“I have no other home but Cross River that’s why I’m always here every time to give my best; and I’m out there trying as best as I can to represent the state,” he justifies on why he chooses to take the show home.

Other comedians also registered great performances at the event including comic idols like Monkals, Last Prophet, Robert Ekpo, MC Mbakara amongst others; while Real P Ajaba, Nfaso, GYC and many others registered stunning musical performances at the event.

Among the show ravers and glitterati of the state who graced the event include the Commissioner of Information, Mr Akin Riket; former Commissioner of Finance, Mr. Chris Agibe; music veterans, King Fela Ade, Blacky and many other top shots in the state.

The event featured red carpet interview, jokes and music performances.
