Following the experience from my trip to the East last week, I hereby inform you that the only thing that has changed since last Christmas is the name of the President and Government officials now in Charge.
If you are traveling by road, please start your journey early because of the number of check points on the way.
keep enough money to “settle” police from Ijebu Ode to your village(if you’re leaving from Lagos)…it will be easier than showing them your complete vehicle papers. Don’t even bother to tell them about CHANGE…. it’s for people in Abuja.

Fix your car brakes and shock absorbers…. because of potholes.
Oil subsidy doesn’t exist in the East. Petrol is from N125 per liter and above, if you are lucky to find.
If you are traveling by air and you have not bought your ticket, it’s either you have a private jet or your planning to travel by new year.
Do not check in too many bags because some may arrive after Christmas.
keep enough money for local transportation as there maybe no free rides.
Pack a few surgical masks for dust and take some medication for catarrh with you.
Most people in your village need help so travel with enough money or respect yourself and remain in your base.

Merry Christmas and safe travels.

lol… as posted on his Facebook Page few mins ago
