David Beckham yesterday hit back at criticism after his four-year-old daughter Harper was pictured using a dummy.
The former footballer was clearly upset as people weighed in on whether or not it was right that his child was using a pacifier at her age.
In an Instagram post David, who has four children – Brooklyn 16, Romeo, 12, Cruz, 10 and four-year-old Harper – with wife Victoria, wrote: “Why do people feel they have the right to criticize a parent about their own children without having any facts ??
“Everybody who has children knows that when they aren’t feeling well or have a fever you do what comforts them best and most of the time it’s a pacifier so those who criticize think twice about what you say about other people’s children because actually you have no right to criticize me as a parent…(sic)”
David, 40, was pictured with the adorable tot out along with his eldest child – Brooklyn, 16 – as the trio headed out for lunch in West Hollywood this weekend.
The pictures led to reports suggesting that Harper could develop “speech or dental issues” later in life.
David warned people to “think twice” before passing judgement on his or anyone else’s parenting skills, stating that they “have no right” to do so.
